My goal is to help you finally find the right size for you -- we can solve this by working together. So, please be patient and consider trying several cup sizes to find your best fit and support --like taking items to a fitting room to try on and returning whatever does not fit you. Thank you, Linda

BRA FITTING INFORMATION and BRA CARE:

THERE IS NO STANDARD BRA SIZING IN BRAS. Bra sizing differs from manufacturer to manufacturer, so use the size charts below as a general guide only --you may be size "D" in one brand and size "DD" in another. You may even vary in bra cup size from one style to another within the same brand due to the change in fabric and you won't know which one fits you best, until you try on a few sizes.

Basically, it is recommended that you order several sizes of the same item to try on, when trying a brand or style for the first time.

Do you wear DD cup size because it is the largest cup size in stock at the store where you buy your bras? The majority of women wear the wrong cup size, usually too small. Have you been trying to fit into bra cups too small for your breasts, because the stores don’t offer a larger cup size? When wearing your bra are your breasts hanging down toward your waist instead of straight ahead, due to wrong sizing and lack of support? Has the so-called “professional bra fitter” put you in a 42DD to try to cover your breast’s cup size because DD is the largest cup size in their store, when you needed a size 38 band around??

The bra band around being too large causes you to lose all support, as the bra band fitting firmly around and not riding up in the back is the primary bra support.  To get the correct fit, you have to have the bra band around fit firmly/tightly in place first. Then, increase the cup size for the uplift and support you want and deserve. Otherwise, the heavy weight of your breasts will be carried by your shoulder straps only, eventually causing shoulder, neck, and back pain.

U.S. TO U.K. CONVERSION CHART: PANACHE, FANTASIE, FREYA, and ELOMI brands are based on sizing from the United Kingdom (UK). When ordering, select the UK size in the Bra Size drop-down option that corresponds to your U.S. bra size --Fantasie, Freya, Panache, and Elomi (UK brands) do not recognize US cup sizes; showing on their tags UK & US as the same UK size.

FOR DD CUP AND HIGHER CUP SIZES THERE TENDS TO BE DESCREPANCY among the brands, as to what to call cup sizes beyond D cup. Hopefully, this chart clears up some of the confusion, it's based on the country of origin of the manufacturer.

Note:
Fantasie, Freya, Elomi, and Panache follow
U.K. sizing.
LeMystere and Roidal (has fuller cup) follow European sizing, similar to US sizing.
Goddess and Wacoal follow
U.S. sizing.

Linda suggests for US DDD cup: Locally clients try on UK F cup to start and will sometimes end up with UK FF cup or UK G cup depending on how much breast coverage they prefer (try several cup sizes to find your best fit, returning whatever doesn't fit) --remember there is no standard cup sizing and your bra cup could be a shallow cup fit or an average cup fit or a full cup fit.

For Halter, Plunge, Contour Lined or Padded, Bandeau, and Average cup fit styles in the bra-sized swimwear it is suggested to add one-two cup sizes larger for the better fit and breast coverage, based on wearing the correct bra size. (Example: if you wear 34C, try 34D and/or 34DD.)

If no bra size is noted for swimwear tops or one piece swimsuits (1pc), expect it to have B/C cup sizes usually.

For discovering approximate cup size: Use this chart below by subtracting your actual band measurement around under the breasts from the around measurement across the fullest part of your breast for an approximate guideline for cup sizing. This is the least reliable method for bra sizing, as you need to be wearing your correct bra size for any validity and about 95% of women wear the wrong size.

ABOUT BRIEFS: The Panache, Fantasie, and Freya briefs are European cut in rear, so are narrower in the back than US brands and cover less cheek on the lower sides of your rear-end. If you find this is an issue for you when you try on the swimwear, you can take the top that fits (most important for top to fit anyway) to a department store and select US style briefs you like to match. This is what I had to do and many other clients have too, as we in the US don't tend to have really a toned rear-end like the Europeans who walk everywhere.

BRA CARE: What few women know about the care of their bras by Linda.

When you first buy a bra is the time for it to fit you correctly, later the stretched-out fit issue will have more to do with not being aware of the proper care of bras and not rotating them daily. A bra needs to be hand-washed each time it is worn and remember not to wear the same bra two days in a row. The stretchiness in the band around has memory and usually takes about 24-48 hours to go back to its original size after wearing and washing --otherwise, you are teaching the bra band to stretch, also, you need to alternate the wearing of the bras in your bra collection. Bras need to be washed by hand, not put in the washer or the dryer, period. I have a special bra wash on my site that is recommended, Lingerie Mate, found in the Bra Accessories link. (Some soaps or cleaners advertised for delicates actually will deteriorate the fabrics of bras faster.)

If you need further help with sizing use ASK LINDA or email: customerservice@undiebox.com --we want to help you get the best fit.
